Solution for Citrix application not launching due to ica file save dialog

SYMPTOMS|現象


When launching Citrix application (e.g. P6 Pro Client) on PROJECT CLOUD. only the ica file save dialogue  appears and cannot launch the application

  


CAUSE|原因


Setting to associate ica file to Citrix Receiver/Workspace on the Windows is incorrect

 


SOLUTION|対応


Proceed with the following steps to check the status and modification;

1. On the Control Panel, go to  [ Program > Default Program >  Associate a file type of protocol with a program > Choose default apps by file type]

2. From the list of file extension, search for [.ica ] and confirm that it is associated to [ Citrix Connection Manager ] 

3. Proceed to following step if the association is not set to [ Citrix Connection Manager ]

4. Select [ .ica ] from the file extension list and click  [ Change Program ] 

5. Select [ Citrix Connection Manager ] from the list of applications (*)

 *..If the mentioned application does not appear, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix and execute wfcrun32.exe 

6. Launch P6 Pro Client on PROJECT CLOUD
